Coal Creek ammonite hike

I had just returned from a camping trip to Cherry Lake and completely crashed when my always-up-for-an-adventure roommate Scott asked whether I was up for a short hike. We drove up Coal Creek Road with friends Sara #1, Sara #2 and Brady (who were in the middle of a BC biking trip) and pulled into a culvert right across the river from the trail head. The river was low so it was pretty easy to cross and then follow the trail up along a Coal Creek off-shoot (mostly dried out) until we found the Ammonite! It was 1.4m across and very easy to spot.
